My dental bonding fell off

I fell and chipped a tooth. My dentist put bonding on it. It kept getting caught on my dental floss. Then after about 8 days it fell off. Did I do something wrong?

Though we have to bear in mine I haven’t examined you, I really don’t think you did anything wrong. Here’s why: First, your floss shouldn’t get caught on the dental bonding. When dental bonding is done correctly there is no difference between the bonding and your natural tooth in color, texture, and shape. Secondly, it shouldn’t fall off after eight days.

I think what you’re dealing with here is a poor bonding job. What most people don’t know is that any general dentist is allowed to do cosmetic dentistry procedures. But, in reality it takes a lot of extra post-graduate training to be both technically proficient and artistic with cosmetic procedures

One way to find a good cosmetic dentist is by looking on the mynewsmile.com website. They recommend qualified cosmetic dentist’s by state. Dr. Newkirk is a recommended dentist for the Naperville area and he had to demonstrate his skill, training, and artistry to get recommended by them, so you’ll be safe with anyone on their site doing a good job for you.

This blog is brought to you by Naperville Cosmetic dentist Dr. David Newkirk.
