Avoiding atomic teeth

A co-worker of mine had her teeth whitened. For the most part I like how they look, but they’re just too bright. In fact, some people in the office call them atomic teeth. Is there a way to whiten your teeth without ending up looking like a radioactive experiment gone wrong?

Carrin,

Yes, there is a way to control the level of whitening you get. The best way to do that, is to get professional at-home teeth whitening. In that case, you decide when your teeth are white enough and then the treatments are done.  You get the benefit of professional strength whitening and supervision, but get to do it in the comfort of your own home.

It’s possible your co-worker did an in-office teeth whitening. In that case her teeth would get as white as they are able, but the color will settle down in two weeks to not look overwhelmingly bright.
